To the editor:
As a small town Oregonian who values workers and cares about working families and healthy communities, Kate Brown has my vote for governor. The choice is clear:
Brown passed the nation's first fair scheduling law for workers, increased the minimum wage as well as paid sick leave for parents to be able to care for their ill children when needed. This is in stark contrast to Knute Buehler who opposed an increased minimum age, paid sick leave and family medical leave. Buehler also pushed to lower the minimum wage in rural Oregon.
Housing, health care, and grocery costs continue to rise and workers are working longer and harder to provide food, clothing and shelter for their families. Working families are front and center for Kate Brown.
Brown's voting record demonstrates her commitment to workers loud and clear. Buehler's voting record shows he does not support the needs of workers and working families.
